WordCamp Birmingham 2009 is on!

We’re excited to announce that this year’s edition will take place on September 26 & 27, 2009 in downtown Birmingham. Our “home” Sunday’s events will be held in a new coworking facility in town called Shift WorkSpace.

We’ll also take a chance to help you start to get acquainted with those who’ve committed to presenting this year (we think you’ll find a few that you’ll like:

We’ll be providing a schedule as we get closer to September. If you’re interested in presenting at this year’s WordCamp Birmingham, drop us a line via email. We’ll be adding some more names in the coming weeks and providing additional information about possible sponsorships.

    I’m looking forward to this year’s WordCamp.

    Will Saturday’s events be at Shift WorkSpace also? Your post only mentions being at Shift WorkSpace on Sunday.

    Hey Jon:

    We currently are not planning for Saturday’s events to be at Shift WorkSpace. We are looking at three options for Saturday and hope to be able to announce that location before the end of the month. All of the options are pretty cool though…

    Looking forward to seeing you in September!

    I’m looking forward to this event quite a bit. I’ll be driving in from Charlotte, NC which isn’t that far or that much money either compared to a lot of the other social media conferences around the country.

    You can easily drop a thousand dollars on a SXSW or BlogWorld and you will meet a lot of people, but you can LEARN a lot more at a WordCamp!
